Chao Sam Phraya National Museum is one of Thailand’s most important museums, showcasing priceless artifacts from the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
Established in 1961, the museum was named after King Borommaracha II’s three sons (Chao Sam Phraya), in honor of their historic significance.
The museum displays a rich collection of ancient treasures, including gold ornaments, Buddha images, ceramics, sculptures, royal relics, and items discovered in Wat Ratchaburana’s crypt.
These artifacts beautifully reflect the artistry, craftsmanship, and cultural achievements of the Ayutthaya period.
Visitors can explore several exhibition halls that recreate the glory of the ancient kingdom and provide insight into Thailand’s history and heritage.
